EGO is the Enemy by Ryan Holiday. The author emphasized the strength of inner self that you can do everything but if it isn’t tinted with ego. Like if you’re a mountain there is 100 percent certainty that there will be goats and other animals on its top so never think that you’ve achieved something very remarkable or you’re unbeatable/ unstoppable because if there comes a point when you’re satisfied with yourself there would be a full stop for your success. Some of my favourite quotes are, (“Ego is the wicked sister of success” “There is no triumph without turmoil “ “ A man’s best treasure is a thrifty tongue” “ Detachment a sort of natural ego antidote”) Also opportunities are not usually deep, virgin pools that require courage and boldness to dive into but instead obscured, dusted over, blocked by various forms of resistance. And the hard thing isn’t dreaming big, the hard thing is waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat when dreams turn into nightmares. A very good book to read if you’re losing your track.
